    Hello. I am in HOnduras and im wondering how I can get the best of money here with the dollars in my bank account.
    Which bank is the cheapest for me to use in Honduras as far as atms and how much is 1000 honduran money in dollars?
    How do I calculate on paper or with a calculator what something costs in dollars so i wont get ripped off? How can you save money in Honduras?

    1,000.00 HNL = 52.8541 USD (1 USD = 18.9200 HNL)

    Roughly, you can just divide the price by 20 and that will give you the price in USD.

    As far as which banks ATM’S will be cheapest to use, that depends on your bank back home. Banks have international agreements and you will have to check with your home bank to see what affiliates or agreements they have with any banks in Honduras. Using those banks ATM’s will be the cheapest.

    Someone gave me a Costa Rican coin. Can I go to the bank in the US and get it exchanged for free?

    It’s 20 colones. According to the Yahoo exchange rate calculator that’s $13.65. How can I get that exchanged to US currency for free?

    sorry but thats 3.5 US cents, and no they won’t exchange that for free
